CNC machining is one of the services that we provide. We are able to produce shapes based on your 2D CAD work or create one based on your drafts and art works. Equipped with 3 axis and 4 axis CNC machines we are able to achieve high level of

precision and superior quality. We work with a variety of materials including acrylic, polycarbonate, wood, MDF, plywood and soft metals. Large scale structures can be   divided into smaller interlocking pieces for easy and quick assembly.

CNC machining is a subtractive fabrication method where written code dictates all movements of the cutting head as well as spindle speed, RPMs, etc. This is a process where the material is subtracted layer by layer making it the opposite of the additive manufacturing, e.g. 3D printing. After designing the CAD model, it gets send to the CAM software where the settings and control language are generated. A CNC router is capable of producing both 2D and 3D shapes faster and more precise than a skilled worker. The majority of the basic geometric shapes are manufactured on 3-axis milling machines while more complex details are produced on multi-axis milling centres.

The process of CNC machining applied in model making greatly reduces manufacturing time and cost. This technology is specifically used in creating bulky shapes such as hulls and superstructures on marine models, baseboards on architectural models, moulds and masters, plinths, etc. 

Complex shapes like figureheads on ship models and sculptures are no match for our 4-axis CNC router.  The combination of this method with our other technologies makes it possible to produce almost everything you can imagine.
