Liebherr is a global leader in construction machinery, celebrated for its innovation, precision engineering, and exceptional reliability. As one of the world’s top manufacturers of mobile cranes, Liebherr sets the benchmark in lifting technology, performance, and efficiency. Their cranes are integral to major infrastructure and industrial projects worldwide.
Our collaboration with Liebherr began when Steven Elliott from the company reached out to us. Since then, Polaris Models has proudly supported them by rebranding and customising high-end scale models of their mobile cranes. Each model is meticulously crafted to serve as a premium corporate gift for Liebherr’s clients and partners—showcasing both the machinery and the brand in the most distinguished way.
In 2020, Liebherr approached us with a unique challenge: to prepare customised corporate gifts featuring their iconic mobile cranes. Our assignment was to rebrand existing mass-produced scale models, tailoring each one precisely to the specifications of the cranes Liebherr manufactures for their clients. This involved replicating the exact artwork, colours, and logos used on the real machines to ensure an authentic and scaled representation.
A key difficulty was that these models were originally designed as durable, sealed units—not intended for disassembly. We had to carefully take each model apart without damaging any components. In cases where parts broke, we meticulously recreated and replaced them to maintain quality. After disassembly, all surfaces were expertly sanded and resprayed to transition from the original Liebherr colours to the custom colour schemes of their clients.
Once the paintwork fully dried, the models were reassembled with precision. The final step was to design and apply all custom artwork and logos, perfectly matching the client’s branding. Each completed model was then carefully packaged back into the original sealed, branded Liebherr box, preserving the exclusive, unopened presentation for corporate gifting.
Since the start of our collaboration with Liebherr, we have successfully customised and rebranded dozens of mobile crane models. The feedback from Liebherr has been consistently positive, highlighting the seamless and efficient workflow from initial order to final delivery. Their team appreciates how smooth the entire process is, allowing them to focus on their core business while we handle the detailed craftsmanship.
