Commissioned by Geoff Moore on behalf of West Nautical, this bespoke model of the Sunreef 70 Power was created to represent one of the world’s most distinctive luxury catamarans.
West Nautical is a leading international yacht brokerage and management firm, specialising in yacht sales, charter, and full-service operations for an exclusive global clientele.
This project focused on the creation of a bespoke, high-quality scale model designed to make an impression in luxury office spaces and command attention at prestigious international boat shows.
We proposed a precision-built replica of the Sunreef 70 Power — a flagship in the world of luxury power catamarans, celebrated for its innovative multihull design, expansive layout, and sleek, contemporary aesthetic.
Chosen for its engineering excellence, long-range cruising capabilities, and fully customisable interior configurations, the Sunreef 70 Power represents the perfect harmony of elegance, performance, and presence. As a scale model, it offered the opportunity to highlight not only its striking architectural profile but also the meticulous craftsmanship that defines Polaris Models’ work.
By crafting this custom piece, we aimed to reflect the sophistication of the real vessel while creating a powerful visual tool for client engagement, brand storytelling, and luxury yacht marketing — all within the refined language of model-making excellence.
Creating this luxury custom scale model of the Sunreef 70 Power was a meticulously planned and executed process, combining advanced digital engineering with artisanal precision.
With access to detailed reference materials — including high-resolution imagery, technical specifications, and original yacht plans — we began with a solid foundation for design accuracy. Our team then developed a comprehensive 3D CAD model, capturing every feature of the yacht’s architecture with exacting precision. Tolerances, component fit, and production methods were all carefully engineered to ensure structural integrity and flawless execution at scale.
Major structural components and numerous intricate details were produced using high-resolution 3D printing, allowing for precise replication of the catamaran’s proportions and geometry. Key fittings and refined elements were crafted from premium materials such as brass and stainless steel, enhancing both realism and durability.
Each element underwent hand-finishing to achieve the surface quality, seamless joins, and visual sharpness required of a museum-grade model. The yacht’s iconic decking was laser-engraved onto real wood veneer, faithfully capturing the tone and grain of the full-sized vessel. Paintwork was applied to the highest standard, colour-matched and polished to reflect the sophistication of the original yacht.
The entire process spanned several hundred hours and involved continuous collaboration between our digital engineers and model-making artisans. The completed model was then mounted on a bespoke display base and protected within a tailor-made acrylic case — designed not only for preservation but to enhance visual impact in any setting, from luxury offices to onboard displays or international exhibitions.
The project concluded with exceptional results and genuine satisfaction from both our client and our team. The custom scale model of the Sunreef 70 Power delivered a level of detail, proportion, and finish that reflects the highest standards in luxury yacht modelling.
Every element — from the catamaran’s sleek multihull lines to its refined surface textures and flawlessly executed presentation — faithfully mirrors the sophistication of the original vessel.
