Commissioned by Geoff Moore for West Nautical, this bespoke model of the Sunseeker 88 was created to represent one of the brand’s most recognisable and sought-after yachts.
West Nautical is an international luxury yacht company renowned for its expertise in yacht sales, charter, and tailored management services — serving an exclusive global clientele with precision and discretion.
This commission centred on the creation of a luxurious and intricately detailed scale model, designed to make a lasting impression in West Nautical’s refined office settings and to command attention at prestigious international boat shows.
We proposed a model of the Sunseeker 88 — a yacht celebrated for its dynamic profile, contemporary luxury, and exceptional on-water performance. With its sweeping lines, expansive flybridge, and finely appointed interiors, the 88 embodies Sunseeker’s signature blend of innovation, elegance, and British engineering excellence.
Its perfect balance of style and substance made it the ideal vessel to represent exclusivity, innovation, and the modern spirit of high-end yachting.
With comprehensive and high-quality reference materials available for the Sunseeker 88, our team began with a solid foundation of precise technical and visual data. Following a detailed analysis of the yacht’s architecture, we developed a fully detailed 3D CAD model, meticulously calculating tolerances between all materials and components. This digital groundwork enabled us to plan the build with absolute precision and efficiency.
Major structural elements and many fine components were produced using high-resolution 3D printing, ensuring exact proportions and crisp definition. For areas requiring added realism and strength, we integrated premium materials such as brass and polished stainless steel. The yacht’s distinctive wooden decking effect was recreated using laser engraving techniques — adding texture, contrast, and depth to the overall finish.
Delicate components such as windscreens, balustrades, and display monitors were formed using vacuum forming methods, capturing their sleek, contoured shapes with exceptional clarity. Every part — from hull to fittings — was hand-finished, sanded, and assembled with extreme care, ensuring seamless transitions and a flawless surface throughout.
Once assembled, the model was painted and detailed to an exceptional standard, faithfully capturing the Sunseeker 88’s clean lines, luxurious materials, and unmistakable colour palette. It was then mounted onto a custom-built display base and enclosed in a tailor-made acrylic case — offering both protection and a commanding presence in any high-end office or yacht show environment.
The completed Sunseeker 88 scale model exceeded expectations, becoming a striking showcase of craftsmanship, precision, and design excellence. Every element — from its refined geometry to the flawless finishing — reflects the sophistication and contemporary luxury that define the Sunseeker brand.
To ensure secure handling and impactful presentation, the model was packed in a custom-built, matte black transport crate, prominently branded with West Nautical’s identity. This protective case not only guarantees safe transit but also reinforces the premium nature of the display.
Now fully prepared for deployment, the model is set to serve as a powerful visual centrepiece within high-end office spaces and at prestigious international yacht exhibitions. With its commanding presence and meticulous detail, the Sunseeker 88 model invites admiration, sparks conversation, and elevates the brand experience for clients and industry professionals alike.
